Shockwaves are high energy waves most often seen in explosions, Rich young has collected a few of tutorials to do Shockwaves and Shockrings, is very interesting. A few posts ago you can see a script to do Shockrings automatically.
From videocopilot we can read: “here is a simple plug-in we created to allow you to copy a frame from After Effects to the system clipboard so you can paste it in a program like Photoshop. This saves you from having to render a frame to a file and then reopen it and apparently it is not a new idea but we made it 64-bit and cs5 compatible if anyone needs it.”
This plugin allows you to pull 3D motion tracks and matchmoves without having to leave AE. It analyses the source and extracts the original camera’s lens and motion parameters, allowing you to composite 2D or 3D elements correctly.
Shapeshifter AE is a new 3D text extrusion plug-in for After Effects, soon in beta testing. It’s part of a new series of plug-ins from Chris Bobotis of mettle.com, developers of the 3D mesh warp filter Freeform AE.
Scott Simmons looks at Magic Bullet Suite 10’s new Denoiser plug-in at PVC. Among the details is to apply noise reduction before color correction, something recommended by Stu Maschwitz.
